K-RCS114 key features
- Strips round cables from 4.5–29 mm — the diameter is the specification that matters on this tool, and it is stated in full: every round distribution, feeder and drop cable in that range goes through the same brace
- Spring-loaded cable brace wedges the cable firmly against the blade, so the cut runs at a controlled, even depth all the way round — no wandering score line, no second pass
- Blade depth is set on the knurled knob at the head: dial it to the jacket thickness in front of you and the blade cuts the jacket only, stopping above the shield, the strength members and the fibers
- Three cuts from one tool: rotate it for a ring cut, draw it along for a longitudinal slit, or walk it in a spiral — the spiral cut is what opens a mid-span window without ringing the cable through
- Works at cable ends and mid-span alike, on PE, PVC and rubber jackets — the everyday sheaths of round fiber and copper cables
- 138 mm ergonomic handle at about 100 g: it lives in a pocket or a kit pouch and comes out for the thirty seconds the job takes, with no setup and nothing to charge
- Need the other half of the range? The K-RCS158 covers 19–40 mm — the two sizes together strip round cables from 4.5 mm to 40 mm
- Private labeling made to your requirements — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the inner boxes and outer cartons, ready for your warehouse

How the rotary stripper opens a round cable from 4.5 to 29 mm
A round cable jacket has to be scored evenly all the way round, at exactly jacket depth: too shallow and the jacket will not part; too deep and the blade reaches what the jacket was protecting — braid, strength members or the fibers themselves. A knife does this by feel, one short stroke at a time, and the depth changes with every stroke. The rotary stripper replaces feel with two set mechanics: a spring-loaded brace that wedges the cable against the blade at constant pressure, and a depth setting dialed in on the knob before the cut starts.
Set the depth first, on a scrap end of the same cable: turn the knurled knob until the blade just parts the jacket on a test ring. For an end strip, seat the cable in the brace, close it, and rotate the tool around the cable for the ring cut; then, without removing it, draw the tool along the cable so the same blade slits the jacket lengthwise to the end — the ring and the slit meet, and the jacket section lifts off in one piece.
Mid-span work is where the spiral cut earns its place. Ring the cable at both ends of the window you need, then set the blade to travel in a shallow spiral between the rings as the tool is drawn along: the jacket unwraps from the span in a strip, the cable is never cut through, and the fibers inside the opened window were never circled by a blade at full depth. It is the standard way into a live feeder or distribution cable inside a closure.
Care is simple: brush jacket crumbs out of the brace, check the depth setting whenever the cable type changes — wall thickness varies more between makes than diameter does — and change the blade when it starts to drag instead of score. A dull blade tempts a deeper setting, and a deeper setting is how jackets get stripped through to the core.
