Power Meter + 10 mW VFL Multi-Meter K-PV1
The chunky four-in-one for combined visits: a -70 to +10 dBm power meter and a 10 mW red-light locator in one housing, plus RJ45 sequence testing and an LED work light.
Typical work: Combined fiber + LAN visits: power level, red-light proof and the RJ45 run from one instrument at the customer's premises; FTTH activation where the drop, the ONT level and the in-home cabling all get signed off in the same appointment; Maintenance rounds on mixed plant — optical levels on the glass, sequence faults on the copper; Small contractors standardising one tester per technician instead of separate meter, locator and cable tester; Dark distribution points and cabinets: the LED light is built in, not another thing to hold.

K-PV1 key features
- Two instruments share the top of this housing: a power meter port and a separate VFL port, so the red light is a proper 10 mW locator with its own 2.5 mm universal connector — not a side function squeezed through the meter's detector
- -70 to +10 dBm with an InGaAs detector and the seven working wavelengths (850–1625 nm): sensitive enough for post-splitter FTTH levels, with wavelength, nW and dBm on the backlit screen together
- The RJ45/VFL key earns its place on combined visits: plug in the remote unit and the meter walks the cable sequence up to 300 m, catching split pairs and crossed cores on the LAN run you just installed next to the fiber
- An LED work light under the keypad for the inside of closures and cabinets — the fourth tool is the one that makes the other three usable in the dark half of the plant
- Rechargeable lithium power with over 120 hours of meter use per charge, topped up over USB Type-C from any laptop or power bank — no dry-battery stock to manage in the van
- Chunky soft-case housing in four colours with the screen recessed behind a raised frame — built to be dropped into tool bags and knocked around splice vans, and colour-coded so a crew can tell units apart at a glance
- Private labeling made to your requirements — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the inner boxes and outer cartons, ready for your warehouse

Why the meter and the locator share a housing
On a real activation visit the questions arrive in pairs: the level is low — is it low at the source or lost on the way? The power meter answers the first half in dBm; the red light answers the second by showing where the light escapes — a break glowing through the jacket, a bend leaking at the tray. Having both in one hand, on the same fiber, without re-patching between two instruments, is what turns a 40-minute fault hunt into a 10-minute one.
The meter side works like any professional OPM: set the wavelength to the service, read absolute power, or set a reference and read relative loss in dB across a splitter or a repaired span. The locator side is independent: its own port, its own key, steady light for end identification and blink for picking one fiber out of a crowded tray.
The RJ45 test exists because the modern install does not end at the ONT. The same technician who proves the fiber usually patches the router, and a sequence fault in that last copper run looks exactly like a fiber fault to the customer. Walking the eight cores against the remote unit closes the visit with both media proven.
Care notes are the usual ones, doubled: two ports means two dust caps to keep closed, and the VFL port's connector should be cleaned like any other — a dirty launch makes a dim locator. Charge it from any USB source.

Can the K-PV1 carry our own brand?
Private labeling is made to your requirements and confirmed per order — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the tools, the inner boxes and the outer cartons, ready for your warehouse. The products most often labeled are the K-35 cleaver, the KS-1 Kevlar shears and the K-870 stripper.
Can we order a small lot, unbranded?
Yes. Neutral stock is held for the core range: small lots are welcome, you can mix models in one shipment, and restock as you sell. Prices are on request — EXW factory pricing.
