Choosing a K-3500 Build
Start with the wavelength. Dark-fiber construction and acceptance work runs on 1310/1550 nm — that is the K-3500D, and its dual-wavelength traces also expose macro-bends by comparing the two. A single-wavelength 1550 unit (K-3515S) covers lighter maintenance work.
Live networks are a different test: the fiber already carries traffic, so the OTDR must measure on a wavelength the traffic does not use and protect itself from the signal. The F builds do exactly that at 1550, 1610 or 1625 nm — pick the wavelength your network plan reserves for monitoring.
Whichever build, the routine is the same: launch fiber on the front, event map for a first verdict, trace for the detail, .sor saved for the record. The optional power meter and light source turn the same box into the loss-test set for sign-off.

Can the K-3500 carry our own brand?
Private labeling is made to your requirements and confirmed per order — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the tools, the inner boxes and the outer cartons, ready for your warehouse.
