Reading the Die Set
The nests are stamped with their sizes — 1.5, 2.5 and 6 mm² on the photographed set. Match the terminal to the nest with the same number; a correct hex crimp shows even flats on all six sides with no cracked strands at the mouth.
Pressure is set on the star wheel at the pivot: if finished crimps pull out by hand, go one click tighter and re-test on a scrap terminal.
