PON Endpoint Tester K-ONT

The FTTH last-mile check from the distribution box: connect where the splitter sits, and the K-ONT reports the state of the endpoint link and the ONT at the far end — no house visit, no subscriber appointment.

Function: PON endpoint link test — distribut…Link-state results: 8 (ONT on / ONT off / no…Power readouts: 1310 nm (upstream) and 1490…Readout: Colour display — status icon, concl…

Typical work: FTTH activation checks — proving the endpoint link before the installation visit is booked; Last-mile fault calls: is it the line, the ONT, or the subscriber's power?; Pre-visit triage that turns 'no service' reports into a known job before anyone drives out; Checking ONT presence and state across a building or street from one distribution box.

Features

K-ONT key features

  • Eight link-state results from one connection: ONT on, ONT off, no ONT (dead line), loss too high, broken fiber, and the no-OLT-signal combinations — each with its own icon and a plain-language conclusion on screen
  • Power and distance together: upstream 1310 nm and downstream 1490 nm power readouts alongside a distance scale, so 'no light' and 'light but too weak' come back as different answers, not one shrug
  • Works from the fiber distribution box: the endpoint link is tested from the box outward, without the subscriber opening the door or operating anything
  • Failure location diagnosis for the last kilometer — the one stretch of the network an OTDR crew cannot normally reach without entering the home

How It Works

Testing the last kilometer from outside the home

The hardest stretch of FTTH to maintain is the last kilometer between the distribution box and the home: the subscriber may be out, the ONT may be off, and a truck roll that ends at a locked door proves nothing. The K-ONT is built for that stretch. Connected at the rear end of the fiber distribution box, it analyses the endpoint link and the ONT's state and answers with a conclusion, not raw numbers to interpret on the ladder.

The screen reports the link state as one of eight results — ONT on with power detected, ONT connected but off, no ONT on the line, loss over threshold, a broken fiber, or the combinations that start with no OLT signal — together with the 1310 nm upstream and 1490 nm downstream power levels and a distance reading. A crew can clear, book or escalate the job from the box: if the answer is 'ONT off', the fix is a phone call to the subscriber, not a second visit.

FAQ

Questions about the K-ONT

Can the K-ONT carry our own brand?

Private labeling is made to your requirements and confirmed per order — labels with your logo, part numbers and barcodes on the tools, the inner boxes and the outer cartons, ready for your warehouse. The products most often labeled are the K-35 cleaver, the KS-1 Kevlar shears and the K-870 stripper.

Can we order a small lot, unbranded?

Yes. Neutral stock is held for the core range: small lots are welcome, you can mix models in one shipment, and restock as you sell. Prices are on request — EXW factory pricing.
